ONE OF THE OLDEST GOLF CLUBS IN THE COUNTRY

Founded in 1954, and one of the oldest in the country, the Terceira Island Golf Club is the only official golf course on the island and the main reference for the sport in the central Azores. It is located in the Fajãs da Agualva area, in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, just about 15 minutes by car from our hotel and Lajes Airport. It is also an indispensable partner for both professional and amateur golfers. Programs for families and training for younger children are available, adapting to the availability of long stays or just short stays, or weekends. We can help you schedule a week of outdoor living on an inspiring golf course, lined with avenues of Japanese cryptomeria ( Cryptomeria japonica ), imposing trees that the Americans introduced to the golf course to create windbreaks. One of the oldest golf clubs in the country

Founded in the mid-20th century, Terceira Island Golf Club is one of the oldest in Portugal, as well as one of the most beautiful and impressive. The course features 18 holes, par 72, and stretches across a lush landscape typical of the island, shaped by gentle terrain undulations and vegetation marked by hydrangeas, cryptomerias and natural pastures.
The layout is known for its balance, technical enough for experienced players, yet accessible for those who play for leisure or are new to the game.

Facilities

The club offers support facilities such as a driving range, putting green and practice areas, as well as equipment and buggy rental. The clubhouse, with restaurant, bar and views over the course, provides a complete experience and is an inviting place to relax before or after a round.

The ideal climate

Although typically changeable, the mild Azorean climate allows golf to be played all year round.
